11/19/17 Interview with Graham Zimmerman.
Pro Climber, Novice Bikepacker. Ep. 5
Graham Zimmerman, a professional moustache grower, mountain climber, and expedition taker talks about his most recent unimaginable adventure - bikepacking with his romantic partner. We ask him how he funds his adventures.
Graham Zimmerman's first expedition was to Kyrgyz Pamirs where he climbed an 1800 meter face. He went dangerously light, learning not to do it again even though everything was fine.
Graham was born in New Zealand raised in the Pacific Northwest. After being exposed to alpine terrain in the Cascades, he moved back to NZ where he cut his teeth in the Southern Alps and became a strong part of the Kiwi climbing community. Then, after graduating from university in 2007 he moved back to the states and has been focused on climbing as it applies to alpinism ever since. In 2010 he was named the NZ Mountaineer of the year. He has been on expeditions from Alaska to Patagonia and lots of other places. He has established numerous new routes on rock, ice and snow.
