UX Internship
Part-Time
Description
Boldly Went is creating an international network of outdoorists through storytelling and personal connections. We create live shows, a weekly podcast, an online content management platform, and take people on off-the-beaten-track adventures.
We are looking for an UX intern to help us improve the usability of our website by understanding what users are seeking by visiting our website, and how we can position our content to solve their outdoor adventure problems.
Goals of internship are to
--make sense of the Google Analytics and find out how users are behaving on our website site
--do user tests either in person or with volunteers to get feedback on site usability
--use the data collected from previous 2 things to give recommendations for website redesign in order to optimize the behaviors wanted from users (i.e., podcast downloads, Patreon support, sign up for email newsletter, sign up for book updates, purchasing merchandise, purchasing tickets for live shows, booking trips with Navigators.)
Work is remote and is expected to take ~40 hours.
Pay
- This is an unpaid internship
-Willing to work with you to provide class credits if needed.
- This position is ideal for building your professional portfolio and gaining a professional reference.
Responsibilities
- Work with volunteers to collect data
- Work directly with CEO to suggest and integrate technology to improve communication
- Contribute in improving functionality and profitability for computer systems
Requirements
- Have IT competency in the following: user experience research, Google Analytics
- Understand how computers and software can increase efficiency
- Possess skills in analyzing, formulating, trouble-shooting, and synthesizing
